Simon Roberts 

Second-generation winemaker, Simon Roberts has led Ridgeview’s award-winning winemaking team since 2014. Continuing the pioneering legacy of his father, Mike Roberts (who founded Ridgeview in 1995) Simon is celebrated throughout the industry for his innovative approach and commitment to excellence in English wine. Spearheading the development of adventurous, esoteric wines, his Ridgeview Red Reserve was awarded WineGB’s inaugural Pioneer Trophy in 2023. Simon currently serves on the council for Sustainable Wines of Great Britain and the Winemaking group for WineGB. Whether mentoring aspiring winemakers or advocating for sustainability, he passionately nurtures talent and promotes a shared vision for the industry’s future.
